After years of different iterations and changes, we finally have a perfected yarder script designed by actual loggers. This is a Madill 044 grapple yarder of ’70s-’80s vintage, with a mechanical grapple used in place of chokers. Don’t expect it to be easy to operate. The machine has plenty of visual options like an extra cab riser, logos and numbering. It is rigged up just like the normal DLC yarder where you pull the line from the front of the machine to your tailhold, which can now be attached to high stumps or a backspar machine. You can also now slack and tighten your lines and there is an attach node on the machine side of the carriage for a choker for out of reach logs. This mod will require the Platinum DLC as it uses assets from it. I will hopefully have an update in the future with a functioning grapple camera and possibly some other minor details.
