The progress K 454 high-density baler is a further development of the K 453 and can hardly be distinguished from it at first glance.
It is also driven via a PTO shaft with 1000 rpm.
The pick-up takes place via the improved fork pick-up with a width of 2.20 m.
The crop is then compacted by the feeder device, which is designed as a packer tine, and transported to the left to the pressing device.
Depending on the type and condition of the stalks and the required bale density, a pressure of up to 400,000 N/m² acts on the plunger, with plunger forces of up to 8,000 kp occurring.
This required energy is applied, among other things, by a centrifugal mass. After pressing, binding is performed by the binding device.
The binding process is carried out according to the Deering knotting system. Then the finished bale is pushed further to the chute by the plunger.
