ELM CREEK EDIT 4X BY STEVIE V1.0

I needed more country and space than my standard size Elm Creek Edit had for the big toys so I set about creating a detailed 4x map version.
The new 4x version has all the original edits features like productions, extra foliage, grassland layer adjustment to get rid of the nasty dark brown field end mess left by machines, extra paintable foliage and ground layers, custom triggers and more. The new edit keeps the same high detail in all the new areas, the forestry is expanded, new roads and traffic, the northern grasslands are vastly expanded allowing the player to create more in the map, the 51 field areas are a mixture from small to very large boxed and shaped with missions. Many field areas can be further expanded by the player by removing trees, many placeable lots are supplied flat and empty ready to be populated by the player. Everything the maps needs is supplied in the store and construction menu. Sell points and storage amounts have been increased to allow for the larger fields and bigger mission crop amounts and much more.
To play the map as intended a high end Pc and GPU is recommended along with LOD distance set to max in the custom setting for the best visual look.
Unzip the downloaded file and place the map zip file into your mods folder, load and play.

Both map versions have been updated to V1.0.0.9 This does not require a new game save.
The maps alfalfa has been totally reworked, the maps bales have been updated to the latest Giants models and textures which had changed at some point and I was unaware.
The placeable Brewery has been expanded with honeyshine, strawberry wine and whiskey and the sell points have been updated. Other small tweaks have been applied.

This update requires a brand new save game you can not use your save from a previous map version.
Adds in new paintable ground textures, new placeable store items from my other maps, new fill types, adjusts the train, adjusts the BGA making it removable, cleans up all the dirt lanes, adds better background scenery, adds in my latest updated productions, adjusts terrain around the road edges to clean them up, reduces clip distance and much more. Both versions have been updated and added to the download links below. So there’s the normal Elm Creek Edit 4x and the Elm Creek Edit 4x Open which only has 7 starting fields all the rest have been removed.

Latest game update patch ready, edited farmland, improved triggers, edited placeables, new placeable deco rock clusters and more added plus hundreds more small fixes and tweaks.

Due to all the changes and additions a new save is required but with the help of The Grain Arcade, Chris and Luke_BK we have tried to get it all done along with what I was going to do later in this one update. Multi fruit may be added after the Giants Platinum expansion is released.
Animal Food Adjusted 2nd groups added to sheep and chickens, silage for sheep, corn for chickens. Carrots added to horses washed and steamed potato added to pigs. Compost plant area adjusted, green house area adjusted. Bale triggers added to included silo’s, terrain corrected on northern highway. New free farmland added the length of the highway now allows the central reserve to be mowed and corrects the small north forest area grass. Reduced pallet work as many production fill types added to trailers or the included multi tanker. Production increased at the potato plant. Many sell point and production triggers reworked to work with the in game Ai system on the one built into map. Splines added to aid AI around the map, rigid body setting on the new roads matched to the original roads. Farm lands adjusted and cleaned up, Multi tanker fuel overloading fixed for vehicles. The new products added to the silo’s. The map has control over the train system now so you can store and sell much more via the train. Land and masks adjusted at the Grain Pool East placeable yard. Field 29 smoothed along the rail track to aid large headers and prevent missing. Collision removed from the included placeable small farm silo . Production prices have been adjusted. Prices corrected on the farm supplies. Farm house moved back 2m and the area changes. More item added to removable farm deco including the ponds to allow deconstruction, more map visual deco added and much more.
My updated Production Pack 1 is included and now includes a mineral feed production machine and a placeable wood chipper.
Remember the included multi tanker if sold by mistake can be found in the slurry tanks section of the store.

I dont know what is causing this but there is a bug with field stones or is this from your map? because i dont have this on another maps just this map.

Some trees have missing collisions from the centers of the trunks and cant be picked up is there a fix?

After loading potatoes into the cleaning plant, nothing happens with the potatoes. None of them get either washed or steamed. While other productions are working as they should.

I throw the map file I downloaded, unopened, into the “mods” folder, but it does not appear in the game. Game version 1.10.1. What is the reason?

1.09 is fantastic! Great update, really like the additions and adjustments.

All I had to do was add in my personal edits, including clover and soon to add Flax.

Love the map so far, but I’m having an issue with fertilizer. The fields take fertilizer from the seeder, but no matter what equipment or products I use I cannot get the fields to accept additional fertilizer. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this?

Once the path in the map xml is correct, open fieldground.xml and remove all of the / for each path for the png files. This will fix the infolayer in the map.

I’ve been doing some personal debugging on this map.

I had to open the composter i3d and delete a panel of fence, angle the sign and then push it back to get it out of the street.

The infolayer_lime and plow don’t scale correctly on the map in game under soil conditions, needs lime, needs plowing.. etc. Had to open the the map xml and search for fieldground.xml and change the path to look at the map/data directory instead of the default elm creek.

Also had to edit the coordinates for the shop icon inside the map xml. The shop icon was in a field. Do search for shop in the map xml and make both sets of numbers the same.

Removed all the silly advertisements and billboards in the i3d using GE except the ones on the highway. Got rid of the balloons. Removed a bunch of useless street signs, fixed speed limit sings to match the opposite side of the street. 35mp and 50mph going the other way was weird.

Great map but as a non map builder I had to learn a lot quickly to fix some problems with the map. Still more to do.

Yes, my sons game would crash trying to sync in MP. The maps infolayer lime and plow are looking at the 2x version of elm creek instead of the correct path to the 4x sized fieldground.xml

My game quit syncing with steam too. But you can fix the infolayer issue in the maps xml. Search for fieldground.xml and change the path to maps/data instead of $data. Then open the fieldground.xml and remove the / in all the png paths.

You have to open the map xml and search for shop. Then make both sets of coordinates the same. Make the copy the first set of numbers and paste them over the second. Both must match. The. Shop will be fixed. There is more to fix on the map, read my posts.

I discovered that the sign for Composting and Chipping along with it’s light has been placed on the road. I guess along with the fence, everything moved after a change done to the map.

Had to edit the composter i3d and delete a fence panel and push the fence post back to meat the fence. Then angled the sign and light to match the street. Then pushed them back. Save the i3d and run the map.. all is good.

I dont know if this is me or a problem with the map ! I can’t plant carrots/onion’s/millet/poppies at anytime of the game year.

Hello Stevie. I love your map, i did have an error of some sort when i sold my CAT dozer the game would not let me run around anymore and i couldnt drive anything. I did not save it but when i tried to get back into the game later on the game kept crashing. Every other mod map works except yours now for some reason. I tried deleting and reinstalling, did not help so i went back to your last version 1.002 i believe
