Giants has released Precision Farming DLC for Farming Simulator 19 last December with some smart farming technology to make your gaming experience more rich. We have news that this feature will be available on the FS 22 as well! This DLC will include the original features soil types, soil sampling, variable rate applications and economic analysis. More advanced technology will be introduced with the Farming Simulator 22 such as optical sensors that will help you to reduce application of herbicides as well as organic and mineral fertilizers.
As Giants state that the Precision Farming DLC was a very popular addon with a total of 1 million downloads on PC and consoles. Farming Simulator creators with help of various institutions are trying to increase awarness of sustainable farming technology knowledge. Let’s quickly run all the institutions that are here helping Giants to provide this feature and us trying this on the game: EIT Food and John Deere, various partners from the European Union are also part of the project: The University of Hohenheim (Germany), the University of Reading (Great Britain), and Grupo AN (the largest cereal cooperative in Spain). New to the table this year is the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research from the Polish Academy of Sciences to promote the technology among young farmers in Eastern Europe.
The above-mentioned partners are key to the continuation of the project. The first DLC was evaluated thoroughly by agricultural experts, students, farmers and others. Of course, player feedback was an important factor on the development of the project. New improvements to the already existing features are based upon all of our feedback.
